For several years, The League of Women Voters of the Elgin Area has had a position supporting a fully funded, comprehensive, and coordinated system of treatment, supports, and services for people with mental and behavioral health challenges and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities throughout Kane County. With this in mind, we advocated for the referenda for Mental Health Boards in Dundee Township and Elgin Township. Last year in the Spring 2020 election, voters resoundingly supported this too.
