The Consolidated Election is April 6, 2021. Early voting at permanent sites starts March 22. If you requested a Vote by Mail ballot, election officials will be mailing them in the coming weeks. Of course, you can mail them back, but did you know that you can drop them at a secure dropbox in the county you’re registered in? Hint: if you’re in Kane County, the City of Elgin building is a dropbox location. The Tribune is updating a handy map of all the locations, so you can see where to go if you live in Cook County or DuPage County! (Be careful though and only drop it in the county on your ballot!)
