Domestic Violence and the SAFE-T Act (LWV La Grange Area)

The League of Women Voters® of the La Grange Area will sponsor a program on the SAFE-T Act and its impact on Domestic Violence cases. Madeleine Behr of the social service organization, CAASE (Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation) will be addressing changes in how cases of Domestic Violence are prosecuted since the SAFE-T Act went into effect in September 2023. She will also answer questions about how Domestic Violence is handled in Illinois. Domestic Violence is still a problem in our community. Come and learn what we, the public, should know.
