2017 LWVIL State Convention

The 2017 LWVIL Convention Committee has been busy planning the upcoming June 10th and 11th Convention at the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago O'Hare Airport, 2930 S River Road in Des Plaines. The Issues and Membership Committees have been working equally as hard on putting together a variety of workshops during the pre-convention program on Friday, June 9th. A dine-around experience with fellow Leaguers will occur during the event of Friday, the 9th.

An event focused on teaching people how to become civically engaged in the Elgin, IL area. Part of the event will focus on how to be able to tell real news from "fake news" and how to use voting machines. People will also be able to see what civic engagement groups are in the Elgin area from both sides of the political spectrum.
