She is a lawyer\, policy shaper\, community mobilizer\, teacher\, and executive.\nEarly in her career as a welfare advocacy staff attorney\, she focused on welfare reform and food security issues in Illinois. Audra has also served in an advisory capacity to a number of political campaigns\, including Barack Obama’s\, and she was Deputy Chief of Staff for Congresswomen Robin Kelly. More recently\, she was appointed by Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle to chair the Cook County Commission on Women’s Issues. Audra also serves on the Illinois Commission on Poverty Elimination and Economic Security and the Illinois Commission to End Hunger. Audra is a former Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of Illinois.
