The League of Women Voters of the Elgin Area and Elgin Community College are honored to offer an educational program featuring Edwin C. Yohnka, Director of Communications and Public Policy for ACLU of Illinois, who will discuss the most pressing civil liberties issues of the day.

Mr. Yohnka began his job at the ACLU in June 1999. Serving as a primary spokesperson for the civil rights advocacy organization, he appears regularly on television and radio programs in Illinois and throughout the Nation. Mr.Yohnka is also widely cited in newspapers and publications on legal and legislative matters related to the ACLU of Illinois’ priorities.
