Building the future we want requires an understanding of our collective past. Using resources provided by Project Drawdown, we will explore the last 50 years of stunning change—from food demand, water, population, ocean health, and beyond—to see our current climate inflection point in context.
To achieve drawdown—the point when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start declining—it’s important to understand the sources of emissions and nature’s means of rebalancing the climate system. Again using resources provided by Project Drawdown, we will explore the sources and impacts of greenhouse gases, and zero in on three critical principles: reducing sources, supporting nature’s “sinks” for storing carbon, and centering equality in global action.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
