Why is it so hard for people to immigrate “the right way” to the US?
• US laws for immigration were passed in 1965 and have received no updates in over 30 years.
• Very few people are eligible to even apply for a green card to the United States.
• Work visas are limited, expensive for employers, and take a long time to process.
• Immigration courts have a 4 million case backlog and approximately 800 immigration judges.
