Democracy is NOT a spectator sport. These young people experienced 17 minutes of pure learning, many after days and weeks of planning and working with each other, their schools’ administrators and other adults in a civil and respectful manner. Different school communities approached the day in different ways, but the results will carry with them forever. Learning by doing. Well done.

League of Women Voters of Illinois Democracy is NOT a spectator sport.
