The General Primary Election is March 19, 2024. Early voting at permanent sites starts March 4. The League of Women Voters of the Elgin Area invited candidates in contested races in the primary election to participate in a Meet the Candidates Night at 7:00 pm on February 29th, to be held at the Gail Borden Library. The event was cancelled due to insufficient candidate response. LWV policy prohibits forums where only one candidate for office participates. See links to candidate statements below.
