NAMI Illinois NAMI Illinois is proud to have partnered with the Illinois Department of Corrections. Last year NAMI Illinois trained and certified 150 Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) staff that then trained the entire DOC staff of over 11,500 in the NAMI Illinois mental illness awareness curriculum. Recently representatives from NAMI Illinois toured the Elgin Treatment Center, a new 44-bed facility that will offer hospital level care to state prisoners with serious mental illness.
