The League of Women Voters of the Elgin Area was formed in 1929. Any person who subscribes to the purpose and policies of the League of Women Voters is eligible for membership. We are a non-partisan organization whose purpose is to promote political responsibility through the informed and active participation of citizens in governmental issues.
Every member belongs also to the LWV of the United States, the LWV of Illinois, and other Inter-League organizations, and as a member, receives many of their publications. Member dues support the League at all of these levels. Join now! Become a politically informed citizen!

Local dues renew May 1. New member dues are prorated as follows: one-half at six months, one-quarter at nine months until April 30th.

$112.50 Household (Dues are prorated if joining more than 6 months after May 1. $56.25 in November, December, or January. $28.25 in February, March, or April)
$30.00 Student (Dues are prorated if joining more than 6 months after May 1. $15 in November, December, or January. $7.50 in February, March, or April)
Your participation is vital to the League in achieving our goals. We know that our schedules can be full and appreciate your participation, even one-time, in any of the events we conduct throughout the year. We also invite you to attend all meetings, including board meetings.
