Position for which you are a candidate: Wayne Village Trustee
Why are you seeking this position?
I recently retired and now have time to give back to my community. I have been a resident of Wayne for over 20 years and would welcome the opportunity to help maintain Wayne as a pleasant and peaceful place to live.
What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
I have municipal board experience, having previously served as a Trustee of the St. Charles Public Library District. I just completed a long career working as an information professional in various capacities, giving me expertise in teamwork, management, organization and secondary research. Educationally, I have a Masters degree from the University of Chicago’s Graduate Library School and a J.D. from Loyola’s School of Law. Finally, I am active in community organizations, including the Wayne Countryside Garden Club and the Little Home Church by the Wayside.
What will be your highest priorities if elected?
My priorities would include working together collaboratively as a board, engaging the community and tackling top issues, such as public safety. My objective would be to make informed, thoughtful decisions that are in the best interest of our community, while treating everyone with civility and respect. The ultimate goal is to preserve the quiet, rural beauty of Wayne, making it a great place to live.
