Why are you seeking this position?
I have lived in Carpentersville for over 25 years and have had a long-standing commitment to making a positive impact in my community. I believe in getting involved in order to help foster improvements and growth.
What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
I have a passion for community service and volunteerism and found ways to be involved in the community. Some highlights are below:
• In 2017, I started the Kimball Farms Neighbors Facebook page to better connect the subdivision. This has been a great success in helping neighbors share concerns or ask for assistance in the subdivision. We have over 615 members.
• In 2020, I was appointed to the Carpentersville Special Events Commission. I was involved in the planning and execution of events such as Fall Fest, Winterville, Independence Day Parade, & FiestaPalooza.
• In 2020, I began volunteering at Willow Creek Huntley and currently lead a Guest Experience team.
• In 2021, 2022, & 2023 I was honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award. This award is given to honor outstanding volunteers that have a minimum of 100 hours of volunteerism. The award includes a certificate signed by the current President of the United States.
• In 2024, I was honored to receive the Village of Carpentersville Volunteer of the Year Community Service award presented by Village President, John Skillman.
What will be your highest priorities if elected?
I will continue to prioritize the values that matter most to us: fostering strong community bonds, supporting local programs and businesses, and ensuring that every resident’s voice is heard. I believe in building a future where everyone in our village feels connected, valued, and empowered.
