Position for which you are a candidate: Elgin Township Trustee
Why are you seeking this position?
As a member of a slate we are running as a team that believes in the strength of the uniqueness of Elgin and its community. That is a focus we all have in presenting the team members as a group to focus on the needs of the different members of Elgin Township. To develop and to present needed and effective programs for the community. Our goal is to celebrate the different people that are neighbors and to serve their needs.
What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
I am retired from AT&T as a field service technician and as a field manager. I have project management experience and after retiring from corporate I started a small business in home remodeling and service. I have been involved in politics very actively since working on the Obama campaign with my wife. I have been a precinct committee person and Chairman of Elgin Township Democrats for almost 10 years. I am presently on the Seniors Committee at Elgin Township and have been for over 5 years. I look forward to the opportunity to serve as a team member to the slate as a trustee for Elgin Township.
What will be your highest priorities if elected?
To help form focused needs as a trustee and develop and implement needs for the diversity of Elgin Township residence.
