Name: Charity Drake

Position for which you are a candidate: Dundee Township Trustee

Why are you seeking this position?

Running for trustee is a decision I have made with great consideration. As a lifelong resident of Dundee Township, I feel a strong desire to contribute to the community that has significantly influenced my life. I am not a politician; I am simply a resident eager to support a community I hold dear.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

In a world where many people feel disconnected from their leaders, I strive to be relatable and trustworthy advocate for the residents. My approach to leadership is grounded in authenticity and approachability. I want residents to feel comfortable sharing their concerns with me. By embodying this relatable leadership style, I hope to inspire others to engage in the Democratic process and take an active role in shaping the future of our community.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

Our community faces several challenges, and I am dedicated to addressing them head-on with a comprehensive plan that includes enhancing open spaces, ensuring government transparency, supporting essential services like Ride in Kane , and securing mental health board funding. Additionally, I am committed to promoting fiscal responsibility to safeguard our township’s future.
