Position for which you are a candidate: Elgin Township Supervisor

Why are you seeking this position?

First, I want to ensure that ALL residents of Elgin Township are treated FAIRLY, EQUALLY and PROFESSIONALLY.
Second, I want to expand business, employment, and training opportunities by providing assistance for those who want to create or grow small businesses.
Third, make sure that the Mental Health Board is – FINALLY – producing results.
Fourth, record meetings and make those recordings available online.
Fifth, publish financial data online.
Sixth, ensure that the Senior Committee is operating well.
Seventh, maintain a positive relationship and communications with the Assessor and Road Commissioner.
Eighth, continue the Senior Lunch and Pet Food Programs.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

I was an Elgin Township trustee for four years (2017-2020) and I have been on the Kane County Board for four years (2020-present). These experiences allow me to bring additional resources and experiences to the Township. I have developed extensive contacts, particularly in Elgin, and will utilize those relationships to expand opportunities for Township residents.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

First to see that ALL people are treated FAIRLY! Second, to expand business opportunities for residents though training and education. Third, continue the Senior & pet Food programs that benefit our residents. Fourth, see that the Mental Health Board is finally doing it’s job. And last, assure that financial information is readily available to all.
