Position for which you are a candidate: Wayne Village Trustee

Why are you seeking this position?

To serve the people of our community and be that person who listens to your concerns, but most importantly gets things done. As a public servant for over 45 years and still to this day serving our community, I have always had the passion and desire to help people in any way.
What I would like to do is continue that in this capacity.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

I have been the fire service since 1979 and continue to serve with the Fox River and Countryside Fire Rescue District that covers our community.
Over the years I have worked my way up to the rank of Fire Chief where I handled every type of emergency, created and handled budgets as well as purchasing equipment and supplies. In addition I oversaw the construction of two new Fire Houses in the City of Chicago. Currently I am a Commissioner on the board of Fire and Police with the City of Chicago Heights. I was a partner in a family construction company building residential and commercial developments. I possess a vast knowledge in building codes and experience and knowledge of negotiating contracts in private business and municipalities. Also ,I have experience in negotiating union collective bargain agreements. Knowledgeable in creating and overseeing budgets also handling federal grand projects. Ability to evaluate, assess and handle any situation. Honest, dedicated, and loyal while treating everyone equally is what I pride myself in.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

Preserve and protect our community by keeping it a quite and equestrian community
Reduce noise levels (Army Trail and Dunham)
Route 59 should be walled (Bartlett has this why not Wayne)
Truck reroute on Dunham
Reduction in garbage trucks utilizing one company per area to reduce wear and tear on our roads
