Name: Pam Carr Hagerman

Position for which you are a candidate: Village of West Dundee Trustee

Why are you seeking this position?

As a West Dundee resident for 23 years, I would like to give back to my community in my areas of expertise which include:  Marketing/Communications, Technology Project Management and Business Development.  West Dundee is declining when compared to other Fox River towns, and it is time for a fresh voice beyond the status quo from long-term incumbents.  Teams often call on me when they have a tough problem to solve or need fast results.  I promise to be a catalyst for change in West Dundee.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

From my 30 years Marketing experience in multiple industries, I have a reputation as a person who is results-driven and gets things done.  I have a proven ability to generate and communicate ideas, incorporate technology, foster partnerships and lead successful cross-functional teams.  As a volunteer leader for several township and county organizations, I have a track record of resourcefulness and dedication to my community.  My work is endorsed by several state, county and township government officials.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

My survey of West Dundee voters identifies three areas of priority for West Dundee:  1.) Economic Growth – including vacant storefronts and the future of Spring Hill Mall; 2.) No New Taxes! – West Dundee residents can’t afford tax increases due to existing high Illinois and Kane County taxes; 3.) Safety – West Dundee is vulnerable to a significant increase in crime due to proximity to I-90, so we need to strengthen our neighborhood watch system.
