Name: Katherine Grimaldi

Position for which you are a candidate: Village of West Dundee Trustee

Why are you seeking this position?

I moved to West Dundee 5 years ago and hope to grow old here. I love this village, and I want to make sure that in the years to come decisions about our town are based on facts, research, and independent evaluation.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

I worked in not-for-profits for ten years–I know the value of a dollar! And I have worked in corporate America for twelve years–human resources for seven. I know how to work in teams, how to work with people I disagree with, how to build consensus, how to critically evaluate ideas, and how to use data to make decisions. I have B.A.s in Psychology and Sociology and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

In general, I support sustainability, inclusion, and responsible use of taxpayer dollars. That said, my highest priority as a village trustee will not be to any one project, but instead to independently evaluating each proposal.

Will you be attending the Candidate Night?  Yes
