Name: Enoch Essendrop

Position for which you are a candidate: Gail Borden Library Board

Why are you seeking this position?

My family loves the library. We utilize it religiously. We have first-class facilities and faculty at the Gail Borden Library, and I would like to ensure that it continues to be so for future generations.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

I am twenty-five years old, married with three children and awaiting the birth of our baby girl in July. I own a beautiful little home on the northeast side surrounded by many great friends and neighbors. It is a privilege to work in the field of machining. Through career moves and college classes, I have been able to become an engineer, but I am always a hands-on worker and always will be. I am a no-nonsense kind of every-day Joe, who believes that I can do this community some service in the role of library trustee.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

My highest priority is to live the kind of life and be the kind of example that my children will be proud of someday. I would like to give honor and praise to my Lord through my spirit and in each decision I get to make. My first priority if elected is to pray. If I am given the chance when sworn in, I promise to take a minute and pray to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for wisdom and grace for myself and all the trustees. Beyond that, I will be an outspoken advocate for doing what is moral, ethical and right.

Will you be attending the Candidate Night?  Yes
