Why are you seeking this position?

I am seeking this position as I am passionate about the advancement of our community members through education.  I am here to serve the community in which I live and work.  I would welcome the opportunity to be a small part in the future advancements of ECC college graduates.  When one succeeds, we all succeed.  It is important to encourage and give everyone that would like to have an opportunity for an equal part in having a better future for their family through education.  I believe if we are there to serve and offer a helping hand, guidance, support, or simply words of encouragement, it makes a lasting impact in someone’s life.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

Over the past several years, I have served as board of director on various community organizations and in leadership roles in my career that have provided experience when collaborating with other leaders and community members.  I am committed to actively participating in the successful outcomes of the college, it’s students and faculty.  I am dedicated and passionate about serving our community and seek to provide leadership and inspiration to make a positive impact at the college.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

My highest priorities will be to support and provide a positive college experience for those in our community seeking to further their education, while boosting student enrollment and successful completion, increasing campus diversity, equity and inclusion, providing a sense of support and belonging on campus while supporting faculty and staff.
