Name: Angela Hallock Nowak

Position for which you are a candidate: Illinois Representative District 43

Why are you seeking this position?

I am seeking this position because the 43rd District of the Illinois General Assembly has been neglected for quite some time. There are residents of this district who are extremely disappointed with the job being done by the current administration. A great toll on the people continues to be taken, without relief in sight. Rise in property tax, rise in gas prices, stripping parents of their right to govern their children, rise in crime, rise in corruption among elected officials; just a few of the reasons residents are fleeing this state. I would like to represent the people of this district and fight for these changes.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

In addition to the constitutional requirements of this position, I am qualified as a concerned parent and taxpayer. The background I have in relationships with mega-donors, special interest groups, and current or former legislators is zero. The position of Representative should do just that…represent the people.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

There are several priorities that tie for first place. Among them; the repeal of the SAFE-T bill, overturning the repeal of the Parental Notification Act, making our state more attractive for business and residents alike, thereby offering property tax relief. It’s time we make the people of Illinois proud to live in this great state!
