Name: Arin Thrower

Position for which you are a candidate: Illinois Representative, 66th District

Why are you seeking this position?

I’m seeking the position of Illinois State Representative because our current representative has voted for legislation that has led to residents and businesses struggling, has led to an increase in crime, and has diminished our parental rights. We must take back our state and District 66 deserves a representative who will respect them and vote for issues that will improve their daily lives.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

My experience working both professionally with municipalities and more recently as an elected official with Dundee Township gives me a great advantage in understanding the relationship between our residents, local government, and the State. For close to 10 years, I’ve been talking with residents daily about their concerns and working with municipal departments and organizations to help solve problems and bring change to a community when needed.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

My highest priority when elected will be to continue to eliminate wasteful spending from government budgets and demand accountability and transparency. One of the top concerns for our residents is tax relief and I look forward to bringing positive change to all our residents and businesses in District 66.
