Name: Joseph Connell

Position for which you are a candidate: West Dundee President

Why are you seeking this position?

As a lifelong resident, I believe I can help to rebuild our business community in order to reduce the tax burden on the residents. I plan on being a full time President in order to help achieve this goal. I believe that this needs to happen through a variety of avenues and each deserves the Presidents focus.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

I have worked in local government throughout the years. As a self employed resident, I will have the time to focus on this position.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

Right now my highest priority is related to Covid 19 and getting people and businesses ready for a Post Covid-19 world. We need to get back outside to start living again in a safe manor. Secondly I will focus on business around our Village. Bringing in new business, and keeping our current ones will help our residents with their tax cost. One of the ways that I would grow business is to make West Dundee more welcoming to non-residents by removing the traffic camera boxes at two intersections in the village.
