Name: Mark Stephen Bialek

Position for which you are a candidate: Elgin Township Supervisor

Why are you seeking this position?

I am running for Elgin Township Supervisor because over my past five years in Elgin as Program Director and Morning Show host at WRMN AM 1410/96.7 FM in Elgin I have been building strong relationships with local leaders and residents which has helped me understand how many aspects of our local government operate while helping me establish the knowledge and credibility necessary to be considered for the position.

I have also gained knowledge of many of our community’s strengths, challenges, issues, and needs, and this is the opportune time in my life to step up and through hard work and determination, make the difference and impact that I know I can and will.

During my career and life, I have regularly been looked upon by others as a leader by many of my peers, co-workers, friends and family, and I’ve been willing to step up and take on those roles and turn them into successful outcomes. This is due to my ability to organize, plan, be efficient, be creative, think outside the box, delegate, and work well with others to complete projects and achieve the desired results.

It is all of these qualities, combined with the connections I’ve developed and knowledge of local government, and local issues, organizations and events that make me the ideal candidate to be your next Elgin Township Supervisor.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

I currently am a Supervisor at Elgin’s radio station, WRMN 1410 am, heading up the Programming Department for the past five years, and under my leadership, the station’s image and professional sound has improved tremendously over the past five years, during which I have never taken a sick day, even during the Covid 19 pandemic.

My community involvement and relationships with area leaders, events, and issues gives me a broad base of knowledge that I can use to execute this position effectively. I have also worked in management, owned a small business, and have experience in coaching, which gives me the versatility that’s necessary to wear the many hats a Supervisor must wear to be successful in leading the Elgin Township.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

I will connect with and be active in the community, supporting seniors, veterans, small business owners, and the homeless, and thinking outside the box to create new programs to assist each of these groups with their crucial needs and to help each group achieve it’s goals. Transparency is a key buzzword in society these days, but I plan to be truly transparent through my daily outreach and availability on morning radio in the Elgin Township, and I will be visible, active, and truly accessible to every individual seeking my assistance and the Elgin Township’s assistance.
