Why are you seeking this position?
I am seeking this position to bring Common Sense Leadership to the Elgin City Council. I also believe my credentials as a Registered Nurse will be beneficial as we head into the next phases of battling the Covid 19 virus. In addition, this experience will provide leadership with mental health issues as a result of this virus and in our support of the unsheltered population.
What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
Served as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner
Served as a Downtown Neighborhood Association Board member with a term as treasurer.
Served on the Elgin Township Committee on Seniors
Southwest Area Neighborhood Association member
Registered Nurse with 24 years of experience in the areas of Medical-Surgical, Emergency Room (11 years), School Nurse (u-46) 8 years
Downtown Elgin Commercial Property owner, small business development
What will be your highest priorities if elected?
Navigating the Covid 19 response to ensure we are assisting our residents in getting the vaccine and navigating the economic fallout that we may be faced with going forward.
Economic Development so that we can continue to provide necessary services and provide a broad base of Social Services.
Strong Public Safety
Enhanced Customer Service to our residents
