Name: Arin Thrower

Position for which you are a candidate: Dundee Township Supervisor

Why are you seeking this position?

I’m seeking the position of Dundee Township Supervisor because our community needs a leader who can find creative, new solutions as we move towards recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Our current Township has a pattern of spending more than what they have, they’ve created programs that aren’t sustainable, and they’ve asked for two tax increases in the past year. Dundee Township deserves someone who is focused on the needs of all our residents and understands how to work with our villages, Kane County, and the State.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

My specific roles in leading communications at both the City and County level give me a deep understanding of how our Township can best partner with our local municipalities to be more efficient and effective in all that we do. My professional experience in television and the arts have given me the knowledge and ability to help tell the story of what the Township does best, to a large, diverse audience, while actively promoting our community to help benefit our local economy.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

My highest priorities as Dundee Township Supervisor will be to ensure essential services are improved for our residents while holding the line on taxes, preserving and promoting our open spaces to increase day guests to our community, and increasing transparency while making data-driven decisions.
