Name: Brenda Rodgers

Position for which you are a candidate:

Kane County Recorder

Why are you seeking this position?

We are currently in a medical pandemic and after the restrictions are lifted, many people will be facing a financial pandemic. We need someone in the office that will do the maximum for the residents/customers of the office. I am the person who will work with other organizations to bring programs to the residents who may be faced with loosing their homes. It is not a part of the Illinois Compile Statute, but I believe we need someone as the Recorder of Deeds that will go above and beyond.

What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

I am a former Elgin City Council Member, realtor, have served on many boards/commission, and have volunteered with many organizations as well as constantly communicating with residents in the county to find out their needs in order to better serve them.

What will be your highest priorities if elected?

One of my highest priorities will be getting the Recorder’s office open to the public before 2021 while adhering to covid 19 guidelines, providing great customer service, making sure office forms are in at least the three major languages spoken by our residents, and making sure our military veterans and residents are aware of the services available to them.
