Why are you seeking this position?
My candidacy for village trustee was solely based on my understanding that there would not be a sufficient number of candidates to fill the vacant positions. I felt that my financial background would be of benefit to the village. While I have no political aspiration, I wanted to serve when I believed other were unwilling to do so. I was reluctant to make the time commitment, but believed it was my civic responsibility to help. It now seems that there are an ample number of candidates to fill the open offices. If others are willing to shoulder the burden, then I suggest that you concentrate on more ambitious candidates.
