Sleepy Hollow Trustee
Why are you seeking this position?
I am seeking a 4-year term as Village Trustee as a first time candidate. My vision is to have quarterly Saturday coffee meetings to listen to the issues raised by the residence of the community. The goal is to identify how the village can better support them and still maintain a lifestyle in a country setting.
What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
I have always worked to find common ground and respect the opinion of all the parties. Although, I do not have any previous civic or government experience the issues should be debated with fact-based information to best determine the steps to improve the situation affecting the tax payers who reside in the Village of Sleepy Hollow.
What will be your greatest challenge if elected?
Working with the other trustees to change zoning regulations that will allow homeowners to erect sheds on their property with certain style and size restrictions. We have to work on securing strong businesses in the retail center which will generate solid tax revenue coming into the village.
