Why are you seeking this position?
There have been many positive changes in Gilberts over the last 8 years, but there are many more opportunities ahead of us . I am seeking this position to continue moving Gilberts forward.
What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
Although my work experience is in computers and software development, I have been a Village Trustee in Gilberts for the last 8 years and lived in Gilberts for 16 years. I have been involved in many organizations in and around Gilberts including CERT (Citizens Emergency Response Team), the YMCA (now the Taylor Family Branch YMCA), the Gilberts Grizzlies and I have attended the Citizens Police Academy offered by the Gilberts Police Department. I have also volunteered for many organizations and events, including the Gilberts Elementary School Fun Fair and Gilberts Community Days.
What will be your greatest challenge if elected?
The Village’s greatest challenge right now is to manage the growth that we have experienced over the last 10 years. This includes new wells and expansion of our water plant, an equipment management program, and adjusting our road program to better serve the areas where the roads are most in need of repair, including Timber Trails Blvd and Freeman Rd.
