POSITION FOR WHICH YOU ARE A CANDIDATE:
Village of Gilberts Trustee
1. Why are you seeking this position?
As a 13 year resident, seeing how the Village has grown and doing good things, I want to be able to help continue contributing positive involvement to make sure the community’s best interests is at heart with each decision so we can continue to grow with vision.
2. What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
I have been involved in our community in several ways from volunteering in our schools, PTO/PVC board member, fundraising coordinator, attending Village Board and Budget meetings regularly, to participating in and volunteering at our Village events. I initiated a petition with resident’s participation, for road shoulder improvements, with successful results. I’ve collaborated with the Village during Community Days to raise awareness for all cancers/leukemia through Northwestern’s Cancer Survivors’ Celebration Walk & 5K. I’m a Fundraising Activation Council member for Northwestern’s Cancer Survivor’s Celebration Walk & 5K. I am open-minded, yet decisive. I work hard, persevere and determined to see all tasks to completion.
3. What will be your greatest challenge if elected?
To continue expanding the economic development plan by seeking retail establishments and other opportunities to generate tax revenue.
