POSITION FOR WHICH YOU ARE A CANDIDATE:
Elgin Township Trustee
1. Why are you seeking this position?
Elgin Township Government can do a better job of serving Township residents. More transparency is needed. More effort is needed – in terms of establishing partnerships, finding grand funds to supplement funds, and in leveraging resources.
2. What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
I served 35 years in the Illinois Community College system as a coordinator, Director and Dean. My areas of expertise are Community, Workforce, and Economic Development. I am also a former History and Government Teacher.
3. What will be your greatest challenge if elected?
As Federal funds are less available for vulnerable residents, Township Services will be in demand.
