POSITION FOR WHICH YOU ARE A CANDIDATE:
Gail Borden Public Library District
1. Why are you seeking this position?
I am running for re-election. I want to be able to continue to support library programs and services for all Gail Borden Library district tax payers, no mater age, race, religion, sex or economic status.
2. What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
I currently am a Gail Borden Library Trustee. I have served on the Elgin Planning and Zoning commission for over 10 years. I understand the footprint of the Library District and the diversity of the community. I am also a board member of PADS, the Elgin homeless shelter.
3. What will be your greatest challenge if elected?
The greatest challenge will be to help support the library staff financially while still maintaining the budget to provide programs and services as the community’s library needs change.
