Join environmentally minded cyclists worldwide for an event celebrating NOT using fossil fuels. Festivities include music, food and special speakers. Those that can’t ride are encouraged to walk or share a ride there.

White t-shirts are the preferred attire but it’s even better if you can add the LWVEA logo to it. All bikers will also receive special streamers for their handlebars!

The celebration technically begins at 1:30 PM, when riders from all over the suburbs will converge on the Ruggard Gazebo, Prairie Path at Ardmore Ave, Villa Park, Illinois.

Elgin bike riders will meet & start at 10 AM at the Prairie Path at Army Trail Road (31W714 Army Trail Road, Wayne, IL). Be sure to let us know if you’ll be meeting up!

Elgin will also be recognized at the event for completing its sustainability plan, leaving only two steps to achieve the next level of the Sierra Club’s Cool Cities designation.
