It came to my attention this weekend that some were having trouble with our newsletter notification: the email was blank! I wanted to let everyone know that I did some research and, apparently, Wordpress was having some problems with certain email providers from September 30 thru October 1. Get off your soapbox and do something!

Most of the people who vote are women - yet very few women occupy elected office. LWVEA has teamed up with the Elgin YWCA to offer a program designed to prepare women for the challenges facing them in running for office at all levels government - including local Boards. Some great insight into the war on voting from The Rachel Maddow Show via League of Women Voters of the US: The Maddow Blog - A way to make voting more fair.
