IMPORTANT Tomorrow, 3/27, the Illinois House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on the Gun Dealer Licensing Act an important public safety bill that Gov. Rauner recently vetoed. Ahead of the hearing they’re collecting “Witness Slips” — which are basically signatures in support of or in opposition to the bill. As of now, the gun lobby is winning the battle to oppose this bill ! PLEASE complete a witness slip. It is simple. Follow the instructions below to submit your witness slip online and help this public safety bill pass. 1. Open up the link to the witness slip page on the General Assembly’s website. 2. Enter your information on the IDENTIFICATION section of the form. 3. REPRESENTATION leave blank. 4. SUBJECT MATTER: “SB 1656 and HB 1273” 5. POSITION: “Proponent” 6. TESTIMONY: Select “Record of Appearance Only” 7. Agree to the terms of agreement and click the create slip button.
