NAME: Daniel B. Pace

POSITION FOR WHICH YOU ARE A CANDIDATE:

Village of Gilberts Trustee

1.  Why are you seeking this position?

I wish to be elected a Gilberts trustee in order to be the eyes and ears to the residents of the village at the board meetings and find answers to all questions brought to me by my neighbors as will as my own.

2.  What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

I am a past trustee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles here in town. I have lived in Gilberts for over 27 years. When I originally built here the population was 995. I have witnessed first hand the modern day growth of our village. The ups, the downs, the triumphs and failures. I have attended many board meetings the first being over 20 years ago. I have spent my entire life working in the construction field as a carpenter and small time contractor. I have contributed to the construction of hundreds of homes for big-time developers such as Pulte. I spent months working at Gilberts Elementary School and worked on many restaurants and commercial projects in the area.

3.  What will be your greatest challenge if elected?

The biggest challenge I see is getting people interested and involved with the decision making process. I am hoping to find a way to improve attendance at the board meetings especially those with consequential impact. This would make the boards’ job less complicated.
