POSITION FOR WHICH YOU ARE A CANDIDATE:

South Elgin Village President

1.  Why are you seeking this position?

I am seeking re-election for South Elgin Village President so that I can continue with the forward progress that the Village is in the midst of.  I have lived in South Elgin for 29 years and I want to continue to make South Elgin a great place to live.  I feel that I have made a difference in the Village and I want to continue making a positive impact for everyone.

2.  What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

I served on the Planning and Zoning Commission from 1992-2001.
I served as a Village Trustee from 2001-2013.
I now serve as Village President since 2013.
I was elected as Vice President of Metro West Council for 2017 term, serving 750,000 Northern Illinois residents.
I am a small business owner for 40 years.

3.  What will be your greatest challenge if elected?

At the present time, the Village is running smoothly.  I don’t foresee any great challenges.  I would like to continue providing the high level of services that our residents have come to expect and continue to keep our taxes as low as possible.
