NAME: Charleen D. Carlsen

POSITION FOR WHICH YOU ARE A CANDIDATE:

Rutland Township Trustee

1.  Why are you seeking this position?

I am running for Trustee in order to continue serving the community. I feel that more can be done within this position along with keeping an eye on expenses. Most of all I enjoy doing the job and staying involved in where my tax dollars go.

2.  What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

My background consists of serving as Gilberts Village Clerk 93-95, Gilberts Trustee 99-03, Rutland Township Clerk 05-09, Rutland Trustee 2013-2015, and Township Clerk 2015 till May 2017. I’ve also served on several Boards including the Rutland Twp. Historical Society, volunteered on Village Park Board, & Tyler Creek Watershed Committee Board etc.

3.  What will be your greatest challenge if elected?

My greatest challenge will be getting more residents involved in their villages and township. Not just by complaining, but to look for ways to help make things work better for all of us. Volunteering, donating, VOTING, and yes, running for office. Anything, so you can say that you made things better then they were before you came. This has been my goal since the first time I ran for office, or served on any Board.
