POSITION FOR WHICH YOU ARE A CANDIDATE:
East Dundee Board of Trustees
1. Why are you seeking this position?
East Dundee is where I was raised and is my personal and professional home. I believe that the Village of East Dundee is at a critical point in its development. It can either take the next step forward and become the community our residents have always known/hoped it has the potential to become, or it can slide backwards to what it unfortunately became in years past.
2. What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
I believe that I have a diverse background that makes me uniquely qualified for this position. Educationally, I have a BA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, as well as a law degree (JD) and a masters of business administration (MBA). Professionally, I have been a successful attorney for over 17 years working with high-profile matters and clients, while simultaneously handling complex negotiations and transactional matters, on a national and international basis. Further, I am a business person and entrepreneur with a wealth of experience in the business world. Personally, I am an East Dundee native who knows what it means to be a true East Dundonian.
3. What will be your greatest challenge if elected?
I believe that my greatest challenge if elected will be trying to accommodate the diverse desires and agendas of the residents and business owners of East Dundee, while still doing what is best for the community. Ultimately, I know that whatever position I take will make some people unhappy—but that is to be expected. So long as I am doing what is best for the community in an open and forthright manner, I am willing to accept any negative feedback that may result.
