POSITION FOR WHICH YOU ARE A CANDIDATE:
Kane County Board District 24
1. Why are you seeking this position?
I’ve known for a long time that I would get involved with politics one way or another. I want to be a voice for the people. We need politicians that encourage trust in the government and who work toward empowering communities.
2. What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
I’ve developed many useful skills and unique perspectives over the years that come into play directly with this job. I spend a lot of time improving social skills, discovering and communicating my vision, and thinking outside of the box. We need politicians that understand budgets and legal questions, but we also need politicians that connect with the people and increase our social capital.
3. What will be your greatest challenge if elected?
My biggest challenge will be getting people to look past my age and to take my ideas seriously. I come to this position with great respect and a sense of duty and responsibility. Public officials owe it to the people to represent good works and to help us move toward that “better world that our hearts say is possible.”
