Name: Dr. Bob Tiballi

  • Why are you seeking this position of Kane County Coroner?

I am running to give the voters of Kane County a choice between myself; a highly trained, highly qualified, deeply experienced licensed doctor and the current Coroner who has a record of poor management and inability to stay within budget. DuPage, Lake and McHenry counties have doctors as their elected coroners. Why should Kane County deserve less?

  • What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?

I am uniquely qualified to serve as Kane County Coroner.

I am a licensed physician who founded and has administered a large medical group for the past 20 years. I have vast business management experience and have recently received my MBA from the University of Michigan Business School, a top-5 nationally ranked business school.

I received my medical degree and completed residencies and have achieved board certification in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases. I have been a clinical adjunct faculty at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and a Board Member of the Ecker Center for Mental Health for more than a decade. I have managed more employees and a supervised a budget far greater than what exists in the Kane Coroner’s office. When compared to the other candidates for this office, I stand alone as a licensed doctor, experienced administrator, and medical expert.

  • What will be your greatest challenge if elected?
Robert Tiballi

The greatest challenge will be addressing the lingering effects of poor management over the past four years. During that time, my opponent has run the office despite having no experience in any management or supervisory position throughout a 20-year career as a Sheriff’s patrol and court security officer. The current Kane County Coroner is not known by name, but he is infamous for making ill advised decisions, having serious failings as a result, and blaming the Kane County Board for his self-inflicted misfortune. He has eroded trust and confidence. Earning the trust of the citizens of Kane County and correcting the mistakes of the past four years will be difficult, but when I am elected, being the most qualified & credentialed Coroner in Kane County history will help the office transition to a position of respect and professionalism.
