POSITION FOR WHICH YOU ARE A CANDIDATE:
Kane County Board Member District 24
Why are you seeking this position?
I want to give back to the community of which I have been a member for over 40 years. I am opposed to the Longmeadow Bridge and wish to become more involved. I wish to do my part to continue the forward movement of our county.
What experience and background do you have which qualifies you for this position?
Republican Election Judge for over 20 years. Founded and operates a local business specializing in tutoring and life coaching for individuals with disabilities (including but not limited to deaf, blind, developmental delays, learning disabilities, etc.). Worked with Department of Children and Family Services for 6 years – specializing with rape and incest survivors, as well as, families effected by HIV and AIDS. Worked for State of Illinois Public Aid for 4 years with a focus on Aged, Blind and Disabled. I have worked in retail for over 10 years and truly understand successful business practices.
What will be your greatest challenge if elected?
I believe my greatest challenge will be my biggest asset. I do not succumb to peer pressure or special interests. I follow my principles and support civil disagreements. I may not agree with your views, but do not feel the need for personal attacks and name calling. I will continue to follow my conscience, I will listen to all opposing views, but will do what is right and best for the county.
